    SUMMARY

    The Quality Manager is responsible for planning, directing, and coordinating the activities of the quality department facilitating efficient manufacturing operations across the organization. This critical position is an on-site strategic and hands-on senior leadership role.

    • JOB FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Supervisory responsibilities: recruit, interview, hire, and train new department staff; direct daily workflow: provide timely and constructive performance evaluations; handle corrective actions and employment terminations in accordance with company policy and procedure.
    • Company point-of-contact for direct and indirect customer interactions.
    • Partner with the senior leadership team to assess and set department initiatives in alignment with the company's strategic plans.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety laws, regulations, and guidelines, including EPA and OSHA/MIOSHA requirements.
    • Responsible for internal and external auditing processes and companywide compliance with integrated ISO:9001 and IATF 16949 standards and customer requirements.
    • Maintain quality control processes and activities, in correlation with production, to maximize product repeatability, traceability, and accountability, and minimize unexpected costs.
    • Identify cost savings opportunities through continuous improvement initiatives and activities.
    • Develop and coach team driving engagement and ensure current and future staffing level needs.
    • Track and maintain meaningful key performance indicators to measure achievements and corrective action opportunities and promote accountable practices.
    • Other special projects and duties as assigned.

    • Strong specific vision abilities may be required by this job including close/distance, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the employee may regularly work near moving mechanical parts and be exposed to fumes or airborne particles.
    • EDUCATION/EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field plus a minimum of five years of experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Three to five years of supervisory experience a plus.
