Description
The Direct Materials Buyer is responsible for ordering direct material parts primarily from North America suppliers, provides information to suppliers, monitors inventory levels, reviews and advises of inventory level adjustments, initiates bids and quoting process for automotive direct supplier components, monitors supplier on-time performance, negotiates competitive pricing with suppliers. This position is also responsible for determining and developing appropriate sources for supply, prepares and processes purchasing forms, maintains cooperative working relationships with vendors, maintains records and compiles information for evaluation of suppliers.
