    Description
    We are in search of a Facility Security Officer (FSO) to join our team to implement industrial security programs for the Technica facility and program office, located in Dulles, VA
    FSO will oversee all security matters for the applicable Technica location by maturing, administering, and managing security activities in support of the business needs of the organization and the NISPOM

    Responsibilities:
    The successful candidate will coordinate and monitor highly sensitive aspects of DoD or other industrial security programs and other security activities while ensuring compliance with government and company security policies and procedures
    Candidate will support clearance processing, visit certifications, document control, and physical security, including alarm response for controlled area program
    Thorough understanding of security databases such as DISS, eApp, NISS, NBIS and SWFT
    The FSO is responsible for implementing and providing guidance to customers and management on security issues such as security education, insider threat, classified document control, security investigations, classification control and personnel clearances
    The FSO will apply knowledge of, and experience with a good understanding of Physical Security requirements to include collateral Closed Areas/Open Storage Areas
    Along with working knowledge of SF-86, SF-312, DD-254, SF700, SF702, Operations Security (OPSEC) to develop, implement, and maintain the OPSEC Program to protect sensitive unclassified information, activities, equipment, and materials
    Develop, participate in, and /or provide training and awareness
    Will also serve as the Insider Threat Senior Official
    Maintain personal training and certifications as required for contracts.
    Train and orient employees in security policies and procedures to ensure compliance with government and customer regulations.
    Provide briefing and debriefing to employees holding clearances, and regular re-briefing of employees on foreign travel and hostile intelligence.
    Securely maintain personnel security records.

    Ensure compliance with 32CFR Part 117- NISPOM and all security protocols required by customers or contracts and keep abreast of ever-changing industrial security regulations.

    Maintain successful working relationships with government agencies and security offices of current customers.
    Responsible for successful preparation completion of annual inspections to ensure government compliance.

    Responsible for all transactional aspects of security including clearance processing, completion of SF86 and E-QIP, JPAS, fingerprinting forms, DD254, etc.

    Collaborate and consult with the Contracts Department to ensure compliance with all prime and subcontractors security requirements, including the completion and tracking of all DD254s
    Conduct security self-inspections, apply risk mitigation methodologies, support customer assessments, and implement security measures to meet requirements.
    Promptly provide badging for employees, subcontractors, and others as needed.
    Maintains and oversees all current and future, expanding security requirements including safes, SCIFs, and the handling and storage of classified material
    This position is located at our Technica HQ location on site in Sterling, VA
    Requirements
    Active Top Secret security clearance or higher.
    Bachelor's degree or equivalent and 5 years minimum relevant experience.

    5 plus years of experience as a security professional with at least 3 years as an FSO or CSSO supporting Department of Defense or Intelligence Community programs.

    Thorough knowledge of the government clearance process and of e-Qip, NISS, SWFT, NBIS, eApp and DISS required.
    Demonstrated knowledge and functional understanding of the 32CFR Part 117- NISPOM and ability to administer it.
    Ability to manage complex situations, along with a demonstrated ability to prioritize multiple tasks while still meeting deadlines.
    Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
    Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    Desired
    Experience with SWIFT preferred.
    Experience with DSS audits preferred.
    Experience with Access Commander or other such program a plus
    ISP certification a plus
