    Job Summary

    As a Software Test Automation Engineer at Bright Wolf, a Cognizant company, you are responsible for designing and implementing automated test suites for next-generation industrial IoT solutions for some of the largest companies in the world.

    Roles & Responsibilities

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Design and implement test automation code using Java or other appropriate programming languages to run in CI/CD process.
    • Implement best testing practices to ensure that software deliverables meet our rigorous quality standards
    • Develop and maintain test plans and test cases and automated test scripts that are effective at identifying defects
    • Work closely with software development project teams to implement testing methods and validate test cases
    • Build test automation frameworks to meet project needs
    • Develop methods for automated and manual testing of software applications. Mentor others on efficient strategies and tools for achieving quality and testing efficiency goals

    Requirements:

    • Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or Software Engineering
    • 5+ years as a Software Engineer and/or a Software Test Automation Engineer
    • 3+ years test automation experience with Selenium, Postman, Rest Assured or similar tools
    • 2+ years writing automation tests using Java
    • Experience testing web applications databases and APIs
    • Knowledge of Agile Methodology and CI/CD process
    • Experience in scripting automated test suites
    • Experience implementing software application QA methodologies tools and processes
    • Experience with modern ALM tools and processes including: test project management, defect tracking, writing test plans, test scenarios and test reports.
    • Outstanding attention to detail
    • Must be an excellent team player and be able to prioritize concurrent deadlines
    • Willing to be flexible and quickly adapt to project needs
    • Located in EST or CST (Eastern or Central US) time zones

    Nice to have:

    • Experience working in the transportation logistics or warehouse automation industries
    • Experience with IoT Systems
    • Experience with Eclipse, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, TestNG
    • Comfort working with Linux operating system
    • Experience with Jira
    • Experience with GIT/version control
    • Experience with Docker containers
