    The Software Test Engineer is responsible for the overall testing of systems including functional testing of new requirements, operational testing and regression.

    In this role, you will play a vital part in crafting our data strategy by building test plans and recommending strategies to accomplish functional, system and regression testing of capabilities (both ongoing and new capabilities).


    You will bring your strong experience in diverse types of testing, including manual, automated, and user acceptance testing and make recommendations during requirements gathering to ensure the solution is defined in a way that can be successfully implemented.


    This role will require excellent communication skills working in close collaboration with software developers and engineers, product owners and business partners to provide solutions for our clients in the pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries.

    This is a remote position for candidates on the East Coast US.


    Responsibilities:
    Collaborate with project owners and clients to define the requirements for product testing

    Lead the creation, development, and execution of test strategies and plans, demonstrating critical thinking and leadership.

    Write acceptance criteria, test cases, automation scripts and actively participate in enhancing the existing testing frameworks and methodologies.

    Conduct system, regression, user acceptance, integration, and performance testing to ensure high-quality results.

    Develop modeling and simulation requirements for enhancements and tools to automate the collection of test data

    Solve sophisticated product issues by researching bug reports and collaborating with engineering team to deliver solutions

    Coordinate testing schedules and provide progress or status to product owners

    Provide leadership and mentoring to junior team members as needed


    Education and Experience:
    Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification


    Previous experience with software testing methodologies that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 5 years' experience).

    Experience using automation frameworks such as Selenium, TestNG, CodedUI

    Background with test automation programming skills, bug tracking and reporting

    Experience in writing tests supported by at least one modern Object Oriented development language like Python, JS, C#.


    In some cases an equivalency, consisting of appropriate education, training, and/or directly related experience will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.


    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
    Ability to create design artifacts for user journeys, wireframes, prototypes, and detailed UI designs.

    Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.

    Knowledge of Life Sciences systems and business is a plus

    Experience in Agile/Scrum methodologies and project management

    Deep technical knowledge and experience working in a data-focused organization

    Flexible and comfortable with changing direction and competing priorities

    Client focused approach

    Exceptional communication skills in English (written and oral), with a consistent record of building strong relationships

    Tight-knit collaboration skills to work effectively with global multi-functional teams

    Strong commitment to quality and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering high-quality software products

    The salary range estimated for this position is $85,000 - $150,000 USD.

    This position will also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy.
