    Job purpose

    Reporting to the Assistant Director, the Cyber Security Specialist/IT Tech 3 will operate independently and as part of a team to ensure our software, hardware, and related components are protected from cyber-attacks and perform other duties as assigned in the IT department.

    Duties and responsibilities

    The Cybersecurity Specialist/IT Tech will drive Fair Haven Community Health Center's (FHCHC) Cyber Security Program which include email security, vulnerability management, incident response, DLP, and helping to implement various global cyber security objectives into the FHCHC environment. Typical duties include but are not limited to:
    • Provide feedback and work with other departments, and business units to implement security best practices.
    • Configure, deploy, troubleshoot, and migrate VMWare EsXi virtual machines that are load balanced and utilize NIC teaming and account for failover.
    • Automate tasks using critical analysis, PowerShell scripts and other automation methods.
    • Identify and recommend changes in workflow, procedures, forms and/or data.
    • Provide teammates input to workflow, design, build and testing expertise to ensure a safe working environment.
    • Monitor and respond to security events using various tools (i.e. QRadar, Nessus, Windows RSAT).
    • Inform management of all issues that are impacting or will impact assigned area/s.
    • Perform vulnerability management and scanning, Active Directory, and network account management.
    • Manage and maintain network equipment and infrastructure.
    • Run operational reports for senior staff and provide training and direction to IT staff.
    • Work with the I.T. Team to complete tickets in a timely manner.
    • Assist with the development, planning and deployment of major I.T. and Cyber Security projects.
    • Proactively Identify problematic areas and implement solutions.
    • Collaborate with external vendors in Research and recommend new products.
    • Supports security CI-CD, implementation and support including analysis, planning and preparation.
    • Work in user awareness activities, programs and workshops to create a security-first mindset in the organization.
    • Designs training programs and workshops for staff
    • Requires on call response when needed.
    Qualifications

    Associate Degree in Information Technology or equivalent (A+, Net+, Security+, MCP certifications) Bachelor's degree preferred. At least four years of increasingly responsible job experience, preferably in the health field, With general understanding of HIPAA regulations. Oral and written proficiency in English required. Experience with Microsoft Cloud Security (Office365) and Meraki Security Appliances also required.

    Expertise in PC hardware and related concepts; Microsoft client operating systems including Windows 10, 11, Windows Server; email concepts and client software, including Microsoft Outlook; MS Office and other various Windows applications; file sharing and printing, workgroup vs. domain-based networks, backup software; Active Directory, Office 365 and networking concepts and devices, routers, switches, cabling, especially pertaining to small and mid-size business environments.

    The selected candidate will have experience managing and configuring different Cyber Security systems, ability to and mitigate cyber threats and malicious activity, and with mobile devices, iOS, and Android. Curiosity, creativity, proactivity, and analytical problem-solving skills are highly desirable.
