    Description
    The Department of Criminology at the University of Pennsylvania invites applications for a full-time Lecturer in Criminology for the academic year The appointment will be for an initial year with the possibility of annual renewal for at most two additional years, contingent upon a satisfactory performance review and approval of the Dean. Employee benefits are provided. Applicants for the position should hold a Ph.D. in Criminology, Criminal Justice, or a closely related field and be prepared to offer instruction in foundational subjects in criminology.

    Duties include teaching introductory criminological theory, introductory criminal justice, and two additional courses likely to be undergraduate electives that align with the lecturer's area of expertise and department needs (four classes per academic year). In addition, the position requires holding regular office hours, supervising teaching assistants assigned to the class, attending appropriate departmental meetings, and working with the Criminology faculty on curriculum development.
