    Description

    Academic Req:
    High School Diploma or GED

    Work experience:
    Minimum of two years building maintenance experience.

    Performs general facility maintenance and repair, including repairing woodwork; replacing electrical switches, fixtures, and motors; painting, repairing, and replacing plumbing fixtures and drainage systems; Examines facility exterior and interior, and grounds; performs maintenance and minor repairs.

    Advises supervisor on all detected significant facility repairs.
    Communicates with maintenance vendors and contractors and shares information effectively and timely with campus administration.
    Moves, installs, assembles, and repairs all furniture and playground equipment when requested.
    Installs door and window assemblies and hardware, including window glass and screens.
    Installs ceiling and flooring materials.
    Transports equipment and furniture as needed between facilities.
    Uses equipment and tools following safety guidelines.
    Keeps work area free of unsafe conditions and informs supervisor of problems that cannot be immediately corrected.
    Keeps tools and equipment in optimum working order through required preventative maintenance.
    Work on multiple projects and tasks within a given time.
    Infrequent lifting of more than 45 pounds, with assistance.
