    Description


    Under indirect supervision, the Neurodiagnostic Technician Level III performs routine and complex studies in all of the following Neurodiagnostic Laboratories (EEG, Ambulatory EEG and Evoked Potential).

    The technician possesses knowledge of necessary departmental equipment and techniques used. The technician is responsible for proper equipment upkeep and maintenance while ensuring a clean, organized work area.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

    • High school graduate or equivalent required
    • ABRET certification required or obtained within 24 months from hire date
    • Knowledge of Neurodiagnostic testing required
    • Direct patient care experience required

    PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

    • Should be able to push/pull, lift/move 35 lb., be able to perform moderately difficult manual manipulations such as using a keyboard, writing, and filing for extended periods of time, must be able to perform tasks which require hand-eye coordination such as data entry, typing and using photo copiers. Mobility requirements may include the ability to be stationary at a workstation for a prolonged period time in addition to being able to squat or be mobile for a reasonable length of time and distance. Communication requirements include the ability to comprehend the spoken English language in addition to being able to communicate and read the English language.

    SECTION IV:

    PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE POSITION:

    • Maintains modality regulatory requirements
    • Ensures patient safety
    • Assists in patient scheduling
    • Continued education and training for self to maintain best practice techniques
    • Performs any or all of testing done in various Neurodiagnostic labs
    • Demonstrate effective communication skills
    • Must be able to problem solve and troubleshoot issues independently or go the proper channels to follow thru so task is complete
    • Must be able to and willing to work independently
    • Ability to manage multiple tasks and receive work direction from multiple people
    • Other duties as assigned

    Salary Range:
    $ /hour Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
