    JOB SUMMARY


    This position is responsible for directing accounting functions for Pyramid Network Services, LLC (PNS) including management of the daily accounting processes, financial reporting, account reconciliations, maintenance of internal controls and financial analysis.

    The position manages the processes that directly support the operational team including revenue and accounts receivable, timesheet reporting, accounts payable, purchasing and job order costing.

    In addition, this position will play an integral role in projects to modernize the accounting processes of PNS.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

    Supervisory:

    • Manage the daily activities of the accounting department.
    • Develop, maintain, and implement accounting policies and procedures.
    • Provide recommendations for cost and operating expense reductions.
    • Supervision of the accounting team.

    Financial Reporting:

    • Preparation of monthly financial statements.
    • Reconciliation of subsidiary ledgers to the general ledger.
    • Research and analysis of financial trends.
    • Preparation of monthly and quarterly payroll reconciliations.
    • Compile necessary information for annual auditors/accountants.

    Accounts Payable:

    • Manage the accounts payable process to ensure timeliness and accurate results.
    • Manage the vendor master process.
    • Review and approve weekly payables to ensure accuracy.
    • Manage the annual 1099 filings to ensure accuracy and timely submission.

    Performance Based Bonuses:

    • Responsible for the accurate and timely payment of all performance based bonuses.

    Purchasing:

    • Responsible for managing the purchasing process to ensure all purchasing requests are properly approved by management.

    Accounts Receivable:

    • Manage billings to customers and corresponding postings to the AR ledger.
    • Ensure all required client purchase orders and/or change order are obtained for new work.
    • Manage the distribution of project tracking reports to operational managers.

    General Ledger:

    • Maintenance of the general ledger and prepare reconciliations as needed.
    • Processing of journal entries.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or related major; 3-5 years of related experience and/or training.
    • Demonstrated organizational skills and critical thinking skills.
    • Ability to prioritize tasks and work with interruptions.
    • Ability to understand and carry out complex oral and written instructions.
    • Proven oral and written communication skills.
    • Ability to compose email with a professional tone.
    • Proficient with MS Office and able to learn new software rapidly.


    An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands and fingers to handle or feel; talk or hear.

    The employee is required to stand and walk.

    The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

    Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to focus.
