    Our Evansville, IN is looking for a Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our team. Come join us

    Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To


    Provide excellent technical execution of tasks, project management, and program management related to client work in the geotechnical and environmental consulting field.

    Lead personnel in the Evansville office and pro-actively perform in a consulting role as a "seller-doer", executing and managing client projects while developing new business relationships and expanding existing relationships.

    Independently identify, pursue, and capture new business opportunities, and lead ongoing client efforts in the Tri-State area (IN, KY, IL).

    Collaborate with Atlas team members located in-network as needed to capture and execute client work.

    Perform project and program management to client and company satisfaction, including management of tasks to budget, meeting overall project financial goals, and client/project oversight.

    Perform and oversee analysis/design of deep and shallow foundations, and earthen structures with respect to slope stability, seepage and settlement, site seismic analyses, report and proposal preparation, drawing preparation, specification writing, construction testing and inspection cost estimating, and construction site inspections.

    Develop appropriate solutions to material and geotechnical problems, develop design recommendations suitable for use in site and project design and construction.

    Participate in field exploration teams with surveyors, utility coordinators, drillers, and site owners.
    Participate in continued education and business development opportunities and establish involvement in professional organizations.
    Follow and embrace Atlas safety plans, programs, policies, and procedures.

    Requirements

    BS/MS in Civil Engineering (MSCE preferred) with a geotechnical engineering concentration.
    Professional Engineer license preferred, or ability to obtain license in IN, KY, and/or IL.

    Ten or more years of experience in engineering consulting, in one or more of the following fields: geotechnical, environmental, industrial hygiene, and construction materials testing.

    Five or more years of experience in business development, client management, and project management.
    Demonstrated experience in leading functional teams and managing professional staff in a consulting engineering setting.
    Relevant experience related to field engineering and construction, specifically geotechnical field exploration and materials testing and inspection, preferred.
    Strong background in soil mechanics, geotechnical analysis, and related laboratory analysis.
    Ability to read and interpret maps, engineering and construction plans and specifications.
    Strong oral and written communication skills.
    Aspirational leadership skills, positive attitude, and constructive work ethic.
    Must have valid Driver's License.
    Adhere to Atlas and site-specific safety standards.
    Ability to travel to local and regional project sites.
    Knowledge of geotechnical analysis and stability software.
