    The Programmer Analyst-Senior develops and modifies complex technical computer software. They meet project deadlines to insure satisfactory function of the software.

    Duties and Responsibilities:
    Frequently work with outside vendor representatives and technical teams that interface with internal applications
    Will be in a on-call rotation supporting applications 24/7
    Provides technical support to programming and operations areas.

    Works with other systems programmers to develop, install, modify, and maintain the operation system, software products and/or subsystems for network management, performance, and capacity management.

    Leads the testing, debugging and modifications of software applications and validates their efficient use and integration.
    Supports complex computer software such as utility programs, job control language, macros, and subroutines.
    Provides technical advice on the operating system and subsystems including performance monitoring and measurement activity.
    Assists with the training of less experienced Systems Programmers.
    Performs other duties as assigned.

    Required Skills & Experience


    Top:

    • Windows
    • Oracle/SQL
    • Unix/Linux
    • Powershell scripting (preferred)
    5+ years knowledge and/or experience in a Windows
    Understanding of job schedulers to create jobs including tasks and processes.
    Good understanding of IT system administration best practices
    Good understanding of JVMs
    Good understanding of Oracle and SQL databases and writing queries
    Comfortable with at least one type of shell scripting (Power Shell, KSH, Bash, Perl, WLS, etc.)
    Understanding of System change control processes.
    Bachelor's Degree

    5+ years of related experience working in an IT environment providing production support for vendor applications with experience in installing, maintaining, and managing multiple applications/systems.

    Strong interpersonal skills, focus on customer service, and the ability to work well with other IT, vendor, and business groups.

    Experience using monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Zenoss, Splunk, and log files to evaluate the health of mission critical production applications and to identify root causes for performance and functional issues
