Under the supervision of the Lead or Senior Therapist, prepares for treatment by therapists and assistants and maintains treatment areas, utilizing knowledge of age-specific behavior and human growth and development in the provision of services


Position Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum one year patient care related experience preferred.

Specific skills and knowledge required are:

excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills, awareness of Patient Rights, and ability to handle confidential material with maturity, sensitivity and discretion.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepare patients for specific treatment as directed.
• Ensure equipment cleanliness and readiness.
• Maintain whirlpools and other modalities.
• Maintain linen supply and work areas.
• Carry out clinic infection control procedures, as directed.
• Deliver supplies and pharmacy items, as needed.
• Transport patients.
• Treat each patient, visitor and employee with compassion and courtesy, maintaining excellent customer relations with all customers.
• Demonstrate a positive attitude and an ability to work with others in a cooperative effort to ensure customer satisfaction and Continuous Quality Improvement.
• Work within the structure of the Medical Center and department policies, procedures, missions and philosophies.
• Comply with the department and Medical Center safety and infection control policies, procedures and standards and with relevant regulatory and legal standards.
• Participate in all meetings, in-service sessions and required self-development programs and activities.
• May be required to perform other duties of lesser, equal or greater levels of responsibility.
