    General Summary

    Responsible for performing detailed data analysis and identifying trends based on established requirements. Will contribute to the timely delivery of analysis, reports, and visual data analytics.

    Will create data extraction queries using various tools (SRS, SSIS, Tableau, etc) to provide accurate presentation of data to drive business decisions.

    Provide world class customer service by capturing and being responsive to the voice of the customer (internal or external, including donors for select positions) through multiple feedback channels in order to resolve issues and drive satisfaction in accordance with the BBG customer engagement, feedback, and complaint processes.

    Major Duties and Responsibilities

    Essential Tasks

    Gather and communicate requirements for data collection and metric reporting.

    Maintain strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), regulatory requirements, and all company policies.

    Perform routine data entry, analysis, and prepare reports that measure and monitor operational performance.

    Participate in continuing education and attend meetings as required.


    Creates and utilizes various tools and methods to provide support for production solutions, end users, projects and business leaders on a regular and ad hoc basis.

    Implement and manage daily extract, transform, and load processes of data from various system databases. Ability to work with relational tables/files and data flows.

    Design and deliver interactive visual analytics solutions

    Partner with data owners to collect, validate and define data usages

    Ensure consistency and quality of data collected from across different master data sources, systems, and solutions

    Assist team members and customers with problem solving related to data/report production to ensure business needs are met without interruption or delay


    Utilize available tools such as SQL, SQL Server Management Studio, Excel, SSIS, and SSRS to provide technical reports for operations, accounting, sales and customer support.

    Translate reporting requests in order to accurately meet the actual information and deadline needs of users. Educate requestors as to appropriate and desirable parameters to ensure they get the information they need.

    Collaborate with end users to gather report requirements and ensure proper testing and validation.

    Provide support to end users on standardized and ad hoc reports.

    Analyze tables in company database to establish knowledge of data for accurate retrieval and use in report writing.

    Document and maintain all required report design and configures report system accordingly.


    Validate the results of SQL queries with end users, and present the data in an intuitive and visually appealing way, which may include tables, pie charts, bar graphs, or other diagrams.

    Define reporting standards to be used to support all enterprise requests. Support and drive implementation of central data warehouse.

    Performs other duties as assigned.

    Non‐Essential Tasks


    May perform duties as designated by the Enterprise Business Systems Director as needed or in the event of his/her absence.

    Education

    Requires a high school diploma or general equivalency diploma.


    Prefer a Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university OR seven years related experience equivalent to a Bachelor's Degree.

    The preferred major is Business, Business Analytics, Data Management, Information Technology.

    Experience

    Requires seven or more years of MS SQL Server experience.

    Requires five or more years of SSRS/SSIS/SSAS experience.

    Strongly Prefer experience working with visual analytics tools.

    Prefer experience in collecting, aligning or analyzing data.

    Knowledge


    Knowledge of information technology service management concepts and methodologies, business process analysis and reengineering, and project management processes and methodologies.

    Must have knowledge of system design and development processes and methodologies relative to data management and report generation.

    Must have advanced knowledge of manual and automated process data collection methods.

    Skills

    Must have strong computer skills.

    Must possess strong organizational, customer service, and troubleshooting skills.

    Must have excellent written and oral communication and presentation skills.

    Must be capable of operating motor vehicles in all types of weather conditions.

    Must be able to facilitate department project meetings and communicate effectively with internal customers throughout the organization.


    Must be able to effectively work with individuals at all position levels in the organization to identify, understand and communicate their business requirements.

    Working Environment

    Works in a well lighted, air conditioned and heated office. May be exposed to electrical and chemical hazards and other conditions common to an office environment. May be exposed to blood borne pathogens and other conditions common to a full service blood and tissue center. May be required to work at any time of the day, evening or night during the week or weekend. Ability to use personal motor vehicle for company business required.     Physical Requirements

    Must be able to drive on behalf of the organization. Will sit, stand, walk, and bend during working hours.

    Requires manual and finger dexterity and eye‐hand coordination. Required to lift and carry relatively light materials.

    Requires normal or corrected vision and hearing corrected to a normal range.
