Description

A law firm in Dallas, TX, is seeking a Technology Specialist to provide expertise in patent matters, including patentability, freedom to operate, invalidity, and non-infringement analyses.

This role requires the drafting of post-grant documents, advising litigation teams, and prosecuting patent applications.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform patentability, freedom to operate, invalidity, and/or non-infringement analyses, including claim chart construction as applicable.
Draft post-grant documents (e.g., petitions, replies) outlining technical arguments.
Advise post-grant and patent litigation teams based on your technical and scientific areas of expertise.
Draft and prosecute patent applications for innovative clients.

Requirements:
Hold an advanced degree in computer science, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, or a closely related field.
0-3 years of post-grant and/or patent prosecution experience is preferred.
Possess superior writing skills and excellent academic credentials.

Preferred:
Admission to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.

Education:
Advanced degree in computer science, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, or a closely related field.

Certifications:

Preferred:
Admission to the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office.

Skills:
Strong analytical and technical skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Legal research and analysis.
Knowledge of patent laws and regulations.
Proficiency in claim chart construction.
