Description
Job Duties
:- Reviews receiving reports for possible capital/controllable asset acquisitions as they are received in accounting;
- Reviews 403A's as received for updates to location or disposals of capital/controllable assets and performs update to FAACS system as received;
- Gathers supporting documentation (invoice, receiver, PO) for new acquisitions and enters new capital assets ($5000 & over) into FAACS system or new controllable assets ($1,500 - $4,999) into spreadsheet within 30 days of acquisition date;
- Compiles and conducts Biennial Capital/Controllable Asset Inventory for HDMC and CSH;
- Updates inventory results in FAACS system as inventory is completed;
- Reviews monthly Accounts Payable Credit Card Reconciliation for possible asset purchases;
- Completes audit plans for correction by due date;
- Ensures accurate monthly reconciliation of fixed assets between FAACS, Cardinal and FMS;
- Completes fiscal year end reporting to Central Office and Department of Accounts;
- Prepares monthly budget analysis for Comptroller at Central Office;
- Acts as a contact for auditors and ensure plans of correction are satisfactorily complete; and
- other duties assigned by supervisor
Minimum Qualifications
Experience in reconciliation processes for financial accounts;
- Experience in inventory processes and accountability;
- Knowledge of general accepted accounting principles
- Considerable knowledge of reconciling financial accounts and financial systems
- Extensive computer skills: Microsoft Office
Additional Considerations
Experience in reconciliation processes for financial accounts, preferably in state government of Virginia
- Knowledge of Medicare/Medicaid procedures for cost reimbursement reports
- General knowledge of state policies and procedures;
