    Physician / Hematology / Locum Tenens Opportunity

    We are seeking a skilled Hematologist/Oncologist to fill a 6-month contract at a veteran care facility in South Dakota. The ideal candidate will possess Board Certification in Hematology/Oncology and recent experience providing direct patient care.

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide comprehensive care, including diagnosis, treatment, and education of patients with hematologic or oncologic disease.
    • Evaluate, triage, and prioritize consult requests to ensure timely care for patients suspected of having hematology/oncology needs.

    The selected individual will be responsible for ordering chemotherapeutic agents, participating in the multidisciplinary tumor board, performing bone marrow aspiration and biopsies, conducting goals of care conversations with the Hospice and Palliative Care team to coordinate patient care management. They will also provide clinical supervision to Physician Assistants/Nurse Practitioners working in the clinic attend staff meetings serve on committees as requested participate contractor provider rounds SICU wards discussed morbidity mortality conferences COR information included departmental reports discharge follow-up instructions coordinated next setting all cases processed analysis professional competence deliver solid high-quality medical practice.

    The successful candidate must have Board Certification by American Board Optometry Current BLS/ACLS/CPR certification National Provider Identifier DEA Certificate Copy diplomas Three References least supervisor required Vaccination Record Benefits Compensation provided salary per hour traveling assignment covered lodging car rental included travel arrangements coordinated thorough assistance staying abreast established norms.
