    What You'll Do:


    The Validation Team Leader is a Technical and Team leader for Software and Systems Verification & Validation (V & V) of the product.

    The successful candidate will create a plan for product level V & V activities and coordinate with the respective team leaders to guide the team to an on-time and well-documented release validation.

    The Validation Team Leader will organize and participate in peer reviews, complete process audits, ensure the team compiles with process steps for validation activities, and drive team performance in the V & V area.

    The work breakdown for this role would be 80% team management and 20% technical work products.

    Generate work plans in AGILE sprint methodology and track team's progress towards achieving goals.

    Generate entry and exit criteria for Validation of releases.

    Manage work strategy of combined software, systems, and systems integration validation teams.

    Own team's Validation processes (ASPICE + internalVNE Internal process) and ensure they are being followed by greater team.


    Work closely with the software, product, and hardware engineering project teams to understand requirements and to aid in issue resolution.

    Monitor traceability of test cases to requirements.

    Drive automation of test cases and continuous improvement of test environment.

    Develop comprehensive, customer specific validation test plans.

    Perform validation test cases when needed.

    Coordinate tool and equipment builds and validation.

    Generate test case summary reports and validation summary reports for delivery to internal and external customers.

    Lead and present 8D or 5Why

    Develop validation content and timing per release scope.


    What You'll Bring:
    BS/MS in Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.

    Five or more years of direct experience desired.

    Automotive experience needed; safety product experience is desirable.

    Knowledge of electronic products and embedded micro-controller products.

    Candidate must have strong communication and problem-solving skills.

    Strong writing skills to create well-written procedures, test reports, and summary.


    Skilled in the use of product communication protocols and tools such as serial communications, ISO CAN (2.0 & FD), Ethernet, etc.

    Knowledge of development, construction, and usage of test equipment.

    Knowledge of arbitrary waveform generators, signal generators, and oscilloscopes is preferred.

    Working knowledge of Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project.

    Knowledge with both manual and automated test execution techniques.

    Experience in handling teams (Including Off-Shore and On-Site).

    Experience in planning & execution of V&V tasks for a SW Release.

    Ability to drive the team towards goals using AGILE methodologies.

    Familiar with analysis tools like CANalyzer, CANoe.

    Familiar with interface tools like DET, DSP.

    Familiar with configuration & version control systems (PTC).

    Familiar with requirements management & traceability systems (DOORS, codeBeamer).

    Familiar with embedded S/W.

    Familiar with Scripting/ Programming languages like CAPL, Python, VB, C, & C++

    Familiar with the ISO 26262 & the approved testing techniques.

    Familiar with ASPICE and V model development processes


    Salary Range:
    $115,000 to $140,000/yr + bonus
