    Beacon Technologies has an immediate opening for an experienced digital marketing leader to head our SEO team as the Director of SEO.

    The ideal candidate will work closely with the VP of Digital Optimization to develop, grow, and lead a team of SEO specialists and analysts, as well as continuously evaluate and evolve SEO tactics based on performance data, industry best practices, and emerging trends.

    However, this role extends beyond merely supervising. The ideal candidate will also be actively engaged in managing select client portfolios.
    We are primarily seeking candidates that live in the Greensboro, NC area. We will consider very strong candidates that live outside the area, but no relocation assistance will be available.


    The Director of SEO will:
    Manage and mentor a team of SEO specialists and analysts.
    Stay updated on industry trends and technology changes to guide department strategy.
    Be a thought leader and develop SEO strategies to meet client objectives.
    Work alongside SEO specialists and project managers to successfully execute SEO strategic plans.
    Communicate directly with clients to present insights, implement strategies, and tailor organic solutions.
    Troubleshoot and resolve issues affecting organic visibility.
    Work across teams both internally and externally to accomplish SEO goals.
    Cultivate positive relationships with clients and digital marketing partners.
    Demonstrate effective verbal and written communication skills with attention to detail.
    Educate clients on web metrics terminology, trends, and recommendations for informed decision-making.
    Support the Beacon sales team in the closing of new and renewal business.
    RequirementsExperience supervising a team of 2 or more marketing professionals.

    (Previous experience as a director not required.)Thorough understanding of SEO including site audits, site speed/performance, structured data, content strategy, local management, and site files like and xml sitemaps.

    Working knowledge with respect to HTML, JavaScript, and website development.
    Proficiency with SEO and reporting tools like Semrush, Screaming Frog, GA4, and Google Looker Studio.

    Ability to clearly communicate analysis findings & recommendations to non-technical customersAbility to work on numerous concurrent projects while still hitting deadlines (organizational and time management skills)Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment.

    Strong consultative skills.
    Self-motivated, positive personality, solid work ethic with excellent interpersonal skillsConfident with written & oral communication skills regarding customer managementProficient with Microsoft Office
    • Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Word to facilitate reporting and presentation needs.
