Shift: 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM, 40 hours guaranteed
Job Description
A Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for performing the nursing process as a basis for patient care. RNs provide direction and oversight to other licensed and non-licensed staff while demonstrating compassion to recipients of services, coworkers, and surrounding communities through integrity, stewardship, empowerment, and professional excellence. Excellent customer service and enthusiasm for the program are essential.
Responsibilities
- Assess patient care needs and develop a plan of care in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team.
- Provide and coordinate nursing care to individuals and groups in collaboration with the physician.
- Assist in teaching patients and families, and communicate in discharge and aftercare planning.
- Provide a safe and secure environment for patients and staff.
- Document, report, and verify necessary information following established policies and procedures.
- Monitor and report to physicians any potential risks to patient safety.
- Create a positive environment by maintaining professionalism and initiating relationships with various stakeholders.
- Function as a clinical leader, delegating and coordinating staff assignments.
- Utilize patient care protocols and input into the process for improvement.
- Provide spiritual, emotional, social, mental, and physical support to patients in a recovery-focused environment.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 2 years of behavioral health experience is required.
- Must possess a valid RN license in Michigan.
- BLS certification required.
