    The Senior Paralegal is responsible for working with attorneys and other team members in the preparation, filing, and monitoring of high volume employment-based immigration law matters.

    The senior paralegal serves as a mentor for junior staff and critical support for attorneys. Attorneys will rely on the senior paralegal to apply their experience, strong problem-solving, organization and judgement skills to work independently.

    Qualified candidates will:

    • Possess 3+ years of experience as an immigration paralegal.
    • Demonstrate expertise in multiple employment-based immigration case types. PERM experience is a plus.
    • Demonstrate strong analytical skills.
    • Work independently to meet deadlines and internal and external client needs.
    • Possess outstanding written and verbal communication skills with English-speaking clients including the ability to communicate confidently and professionally with clients that including C-Suite executives and nationally and internationally recognized authorities.
    • Possess empathy and compassion for clients, understanding the demands and pressures of their personal and professional immigration issues.
    • Answer client and staff questions with a firm understanding of the ethical rules for communications from a non-attorney to clients/prospective clients.
    • Be proficient, or possess the ability to easily become proficient, in various technology utilized by the firm from our case management system, to productivity applications such Microsoft Office and ClickUp, demonstrating enthusiasm and initiative to acquire new technological skills quickly.
    • Process a high volume of cases and works on cases of increasing complexity ensuring a high-quality work product while meeting deadlines.
    • Partner with other members of the firm to review and/or suggest process improvements and support implementation.
    • Be a supportive member of our team who contributes to a positive work environment.
    • Communicate effectively and proactively information people need to know to do their jobs so they can produce accurate work and make decisions based on all available facts.
    • Work with Paralegal Managers and Attorneys to assign and prioritize work for paralegals and legal assistants and ensure tasks stay on track.
    • Provides orientation to new employees.
    • Assist with the development of training for staff and clients.

    Minimum Education Level:


    • Bachelor's Degree

    Experience:


    • 3+ years of corporate immigration experience

    Physical Requirements:


    • Physical and mental ability to meet performance expectations within a fast-paced and dynamic environment that requires the ability to work under pressure, while meeting deadlines, producing complete and correct work and maintaining calm and professional communication.


    • Ability to perform tasks that includes include use of close vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus.


    • Ability to perform data entry tasks using standard computer equipment.


    • Hearing must be sufficient to communicate with others.


    • Ability to hear and retain pertinent information to relay and follow instructions from MK team members and clients.


    • Ability to hear and respond to requests for information from MK team members and clients


    • Ability to work in environment with moderate noise level.


    • Ability to speak clearly and loudly enough to be understood.


    • Fine hand and finger movement agility necessary for use on standard computer equipment.


    • Ability to perform repetitive tasks and type on a keyboard for the majority of the normal workday.


    • Ability to sit for the majority of a normal workday.


    • Ability to maneuver between floors of an office building.


    • Ability to reach above shoulder level for filing or gathering of files.


    • Ability to reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch.
