- Testing of prototype equipment from software test plans, manuals, engineering memos, and general knowledge of machine and Genie product operating systems.
- Records and documents test results and compares to expected results.
- Reviews software test plans, electrical and hydraulic schematic diagrams, and instructions to test machine functionality using a variety of tools and techniques.
- Document anomalies and issues found during testing.
- Collaborates with engineers and others to understand product information such as equipment functionality and operational theory.
- Uses a variety of data acquisition devices and systems testing equipment.
- Performs thorough inspections and tests of components and equipment. Sets up and conducts tests of complete units or components under operating conditions, troubleshooting problems as required.
- Evaluates procedures for testing prototype equipment and recommends changes or modifications to improve efficiency, cost performance, and adaptability to current testing methods.
- Performs regular maintenance of equipment used in research and development and assists in the assembly of prototype equipment.
- Maintains the work area in a clean, orderly, and safe condition.
- Performs other duties as assigned that support the overall objective of the position.

- Knowledge of engineering terminology including design specifications, computer-assisted design, equipment and component testing methods, and equipment function.
- Complete knowledge of the operating characteristics of a variety of tools and equipment used for testing.
- The ability to read technical blueprints, electrical and hydraulic schematics, and similar documents.
- Must be able to record test results and observations accurately and concisely and have the ability to communicate technical concepts verbally and in written form.
- Working at height in excess of 180 feet and working outside in varying weather conditions.
- Able to perform mathematical calculations such as operating measurements, weight, dimensions, and tolerances.
- PC experience including Word, Outlook, and Excel required.
