Overview
Join our vibrant early childhood education community as a Daycare Center Director In this dynamic leadership role, you will oversee the daily operations of a nurturing childcare facility dedicated to fostering growth, learning, and development for children of all ages. The director is responsible for the supervision, operation and maintenance of the Center. The right person will be in charge of the day to day operations of the Center, including managing personnel & financials. o
Qualifications
The candidate should possess at a minimum CDA (Child Development Associate) - TCC in Early Childhood Education - TCD in ECE. Other ECE education would be para professional certificate, associate degree or bachelor's degree. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data entry,formulas and spreadsheet management, knowledge of Procare software and payroll functions"
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of daycare operations, including staff supervision, curriculum implementation, and compliance with licensing standards
- Develop and maintain engaging, developmentally appropriate programs that support childhood development, preschool education, toddler care, infant care, and special needs support
- Recruit, train, and motivate qualified staff members skilled in classroom management, behavior management, caregiving, and working with children with disabilities
- Ensure the safety and well-being of children by maintaining rigorous health and safety protocols, including first aid readiness and emergency procedures
- Foster strong relationships with families through regular communication, updates on child progress, and addressing individual needs or concerns
- Oversee classroom experience quality by supporting teachers in delivering nurturing care, early childhood education activities, and age-appropriate learning experiences
- Manage administrative tasks such as enrollment processes, record keeping, licensing compliance, and budgeting to sustain a high-quality daycare environment
Experience
- Proven experience working with children across various age groups including infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and children with special needs
- Demonstrated classroom experience in early childhood education settings with expertise in childhood development principles
- Prior leadership or management experience in a daycare or preschool environment preferred
- Knowledge of childcare regulations and licensing requirements applicable to early childhood programs
- Skills in classroom management, behavior management techniques, and caregiving best practices
- Certifications such as first aid/CPR are required; additional qualifications in special education or working with individuals with disabilities are highly desirable
- Experience in nannying or babysitting can be valuable for understanding diverse caregiving needs
