    Description
    The Operations Coordinator engages daily with carriers, crews, and departments, promptly handling both emergency and non-emergency calls. They efficiently plan and schedule trucking activities, ensuring optimal load factors, and maintain robust communication with the operations team. Additionally, this role supports vendor management, rentals, and mobilization efforts. The Coordinator also contributes to software initiatives and offers support for various operational projects as required.
    Duties/Responsibilities
    Interfaces with carriers, crews, and departments on a daily basis.
    Receives and responds to both emergency and non-emergency calls promptly.
    Plans and schedules daily trucking activities efficiently.
    Facilitates the coordination of daily JPP (Job Production Plan) creation.
    Ensures that the short-term schedule has appropriate load factors and an optimal truck count.
    Communicates any trucking-related issues pertaining to JPP during operations huddles.
    Assists in conducting vendor management reviews.
    Maintains important documents related to trucking significant events.
    Conducts field visits as necessary to enhance trucking efficiency.
    Assists in rental efforts.
    Offers support to the operations and logistics team as required.
    Contributes to the implementation of operations software initiatives.
    Participates in training crews and departments on the use of operations software.
    Undertakes any other duties and special projects as assigned.
    Minimum Requirements, Abilities and Expectations
    HS Diploma or equivalent
    2 years+ experience in Construction/Logistics
    Significant understanding of scheduling and/or dispatching within the trucking or construction industry
    Strong organizational and time management skills
    High attention to detail
    Maintain a flexible and dependable schedule that requires attention outside of normal working hours
