    Title: Industrialization Program Manager

    Reports to: Director, PM

    Location: Troy, MI

    LG Energy Solution Michigan Inc. (LGESMI) develops and manufactures large lithium ion polymer batteries and packs for electric vehicle (EV) and energy storage applications. Come join the leader in advanced EV batteries

    Summary

    Lead customer-specific battery module, industrialization process for start of Production. This role will be responsible to manage key internal and customer milestones for Cell/Module line set-up. It will include construction to launch the program, generate the risk assessment, leading the Cross Functional Team for sample builds, and manage all open issues and lessons learned. This role also includes the control of all potential design/process changes that will need to be captured to comply with customer's APQP process. IPM will support customer on-site audits and program meeting, including internal meetings.

    Responsibilities:

    • Maintain cleanliness at work-site in accordance with 5S3R Standards:
      1. Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain
      2. Right Location, Right Quantity, Right Container
    • Fully responsible to manage the industrialization milestone to set up the cell/module line and construction for sample build and Start of Production
    • Schedules and conducts team meetings; communicates tasks and expectations to project team members
    • Facilitates risk and issue identification and management
    • Accountable for adhering to project governance and stage gating requirements
    • Produce weekly status reports for the project team and stakeholders to ensure project remains on track, maintains quality, and is within budget
    • Supports Change Management activities collaborating with customer and cross-functional teams
    • Accountable to support for customer APQP and on-site audit
    • Participates in and contributes to Program Management Office
    • Develop, utilize and support project methods, process and toolkit, and act as an ambassador of the Project Management Office and governance within the organization

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical) or related field or equivalent, relevant experience

    Experience:

    • 5+ years program/project management experience with motor vehicle programs (automotive, heavy truck), HEV, LEV experience is desirable
    • 6+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Working experience with Quality & Reliability disciplines (FMEA, DFA, DFM, DVP&R, Six-Sigma, APQP, 8D)
    • Group facilitation and negotiation skills; ability to influence and drive decisions; and identify and resolve project risks and issues
    • Ability to manage change and priorities and coordinate/realign project resources as necessary

    Skills:

    • Ability to articulate project challenges to project stakeholders and Leadership in a timely manner for escalation transparency and guidance
    • Ability to manage change and priorities and coordinate/realign project resources as necessary
    • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio) and MS Project
    • Highly organized with a strong attention to detail
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and effectively
