    Job Summary:
    We are looking for a Site Reliability Engineer Director to grow our team in California, US. This team is responsible for managing the availability and reliability of Arkose Labs production systems.

    As an SRE Director you will be responsible for improving observability, scalability, reliability and latency of Arkose's platform, working closely with Cloud Infrastructure and Application development teams to achieve these goals.


    What you will be doing:
    Leading people, process and product infrastructure that would solve high reliability, low latency, auto scalability and security.
    Contributing to the production systems enabling CDN, edge routing, region and geo based routing, load balancers and ingress controllers.

    Working on our OpenTelemetry-based observability stack to include more signals that can be acted uponImproving reliability by identifying and addressing gaps in our architecture, services and toolingBuilding tools, automation and circuit breakers that help Arkose to adapt to changing attack patternsWhat we want from you:15+ years of experience in software engineering preferably working in private cloud, public cloud infrastructure.

    Experience leading or working as SRE or back-end engineerExperience building and managing highly performant infra and cloud teams.

    Good working knowledge of distributed systems and networking - TCP/IP, TLS and knowledge of AWS - Cloudfront, Lambda, ALB, NLB, EKS, Athena, S3Working knowledge of CI/CD - Preferably Github workflows and ActionsExperience with at least one of: Golang, PythonExperience with Kubernetes and IaC frameworks like TerraformExperience with modern SaaS-based software stacksStrong distributed design and programming skillsTeam player with a passion to learn, build and productizeWhy Arkose Labs?At Arkose Labs, our technology-driven approach enables us to make a substantial impact in the industry, supported by a robust customer base consisting of global enterprise giants such as Microsoft, Roblox, OpenAI, and more.

    The anticipated salary range for this position is $180,000.00 to $210, Equity and benefits may be provided as part of the compensation package, depending on the position offered.

    Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range.

    The exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's skills, experience, and other qualifications as well as the candidate's location of residence.

    In addition to base salary, some roles may be eligible for a variable bonus based on a combination of company performance, employee performance, and management discretion.
