    ABOUT THIS ROLE

    Join us as a Senior Software Engineer at Apex Fintech Solutions, where you will play a pivotal part in driving our success. Collaborating with the Client Developer Experience team, you will contribute to building cutting-edge platforms for seamless client integration. Your work will involve coordination across various teams, with a primary focus on partnering with our Belfast team to deliver customer features in a trustworthy, scalable, and secure product. You'll be instrumental in developing systems and automations for generating our SDK, steering our Open API standards and documentation, and furnishing tools and services to facilitate swift customer evaluations and integrations into our ecosystem. This role is tailor-made for individuals who thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative milieu, engaging in diverse languages, frameworks, systems, and full-stack development projects. We value engineers proficient in multiple languages, confident they can swiftly adapt to new ones as needed.

    Duties/Responsibilities
    • Create, deploy, and manage software solutions that offer tangible value to Apex, often leveraging micro-services governed by Kubernetes.
    • Take on intricate challenges across all layers of the enterprise and devise effective solutions.
    • Craft and uphold clean, consistent code for both internal and external applications.
    • Produce self-documenting, well-tested code, emphasizing sustainable development practices. Collaborate within a small, productive development team that prioritizes code quality, peer reviews, and robust engineering practices.
    • Contribute to team growth by assisting in talent acquisition and fostering a work culture that resonates with developers. Your coaching and guidance will be crucial in expanding the technology team.
    Education and/or Experience
    • Hold a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field (or possess equivalent work experience).
    • Bring at least 5 years of professional experience within a multi-person development team, encompassing code reviews, testing, CI, trunk-based development, or other software practices.
    • Possess essential experience with Docker and/or Kubernetes.
    • Demonstrate familiarity with any cloud-based provider (GCP/Azure/AWS), with preference given to candidates with such experience.
    • Have a background in developing highly scalable and performant microservices.
    Required Skills/Abilities
    • Showcase expertise in software design and development.
    • Master one or more server-side programming languages like Java, Go, or Python.
    • Exhibit knowledge of front-end technologies such as JavaScript, CSS3, and HTML5, along with familiarity with third-party libraries like React Js, Angular, jQuery, and LESS.
    • Possess proficiency in one or more DBMS technologies, including SQLServer, Oracle, MySQL, and MongoDB.
    • Demonstrate the ability to conceptualize and propose system designs, document them, and put them into practice.
    • Show readiness to swiftly grasp new and unfamiliar technologies as the need arises.
    • Display adaptability by embracing new processes and standards while remaining flexible and open to experimentation.
    • Have an intuitive understanding of distributed architectures, with experience in event-driven architectures considered a significant advantage.
    • Embrace a DevSecOps mindset and possess a strong drive to deliver value through software.
