Primary Responsibilities
In the role of Laboratory Technician, we'll count on you to:
·Perform soil, water, and concrete corrosivity testing
·Safely operate all general laboratory equipment and instrumentation
·Test and analyze samples to determine their contents and corrosivity characteristics, using laboratory testing equipment
·Prepare samples for analysis (Log, process, and organize approximately 50 samples per week)
·Assemble, operate, maintain and calibrate laboratory testing, measuring or mechanical equipment
·Maintain sample inventory; manage disposal of the inventory
·Adhere to established policies and procedures related to safety as well as generally accepted safety practices
·Work closely with other lab staff daily
·Provide accurate result reporting to all areas
·Communicate sample progress with Lab Coordinator and Lab Manager
·Meet varying delivery deadlines and short turnaround times
·Lead and carry out continuous improvement work
·Perform other duties as needed
