This role supports the podcast host and marketing team by turning theological depth and cultural awareness into winsome, well-structured episodes. The position also assists with administrative and scheduling tasks to ensure the podcast runs smoothly on a weekly cadence.
Job Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Theology, Biblical Studies, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of professional experience in research, communications, writing, or editorial (publishing or media experience preferred).
- Strong biblical literacy and ability to apply Scripture faithfully to contemporary and cultural topics. Basic understanding of a covenantal hermeneutic.
- Demonstrated skill in writing conversational outlines, episode scripts, and show notes.
- Proven research and fact-checking abilities; skilled at synthesizing sources into cohesive summaries.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet weekly deadlines.
- Strong written communication and editing skills; able to write with both clarity and warmth.
- Understand how AI integrates into your position.
- Alignment with The Daily Grace Co.'s mission, doctrinal statement, and brand identity.
Job Responsibilities:
- Research & Content Development
- Conduct biblical and theological research for upcoming episodes, compiling Scripture passages, cross-references, and trusted commentary insights.
- Analyze cultural and life topics through a balanced biblical worldview, ensuring all content is rooted in Scripture and reflects the gospel rather than partisan or reactionary perspectives.
- Address current cultural moments, ethical issues, and everyday life questions in a thoughtful, Christ-centered, and redemptive way that helps listeners think Christianly about the world.
- Draft clear and compelling episode outlines and/or full scripts for the podcast host and co-hosts.
- Write introductions, transitions, discussion questions, and closing reflections that connect each episode to The Daily Grace Co. mission.
- Prepare interview packets that include guest bios, topic summaries, and potential discussion questions.
- Fact-check all Scripture references, statistics, and quotes for accuracy and theological integrity.
- Writing for Multi-Platform Distribution
- Write concise, engaging show notes, titles, and descriptions for each episode, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with the company's tone.
- Draft short-form written content to accompany each episode (email blurbs, web copy, and social media captions).
- Collaborate with the Marketing Team to ensure episode content supports broader campaign goals and connects with relevant resources or studies.
- Topic Planning & Guest Support
- Assist in developing and maintaining a rolling 3–4-month content calendar aligned with the podcast's content pillars:
- Research and propose future topics that align with the mission and resonate with the podcast's audience.
- Vet and summarize potential guest information for theological alignment and topic expertise.
- Administrative & Project Coordination
- Manage deadlines, deliverables, and episode timelines using project management software to ensure consistent weekly releases.
- Support coordination between the podcast, marketing, and editorial teams to align release schedules and featured resources.
- Maintain organized documentation of episode outlines, research materials, and publishing status.
- Communicate proactively with the podcast host, editors, and team to ensure clarity and efficiency.
- Data & Performance Insights
- Collaborate with the Marketing Team to monitor episode performance metrics (downloads, completion rates, audience engagement).
- Identify top-performing topics and formats; use insights to refine future episode planning and content focus.
- Participate in creative review meetings to contribute ideas for optimizing reach and listener engagement.
