    Boeing Global Services (BGS) has an exciting opportunity for a Systems Engineer (Associate & Mid-Level) to support Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Air Dominance\Phantom Works in either Berkeley, MO or Hazelwood, MO. In this role, you will be part of a high performing, cross functional team building next generation, state-of-the-art capability. This role is contingent on a future contract award. This position will directly report to the BGS Central Maintenance Computing System (CMCS) Manager and indirectly report to the Program Manager, and will be a member of the BGS Product Support Integrated Product Team.

    This position will plan, organize and direct all activity for design, development, fabrication and delivery of the Central Maintenance Computing System (CMCS) Statement of Work. A successful candidate will have familiarity with development, integration and production of the Central Maintenance Computing System (CMCS) hardware and software, as well as technical planning and cost/schedule management. The successful candidate will support a portion of the CMCS team statement of work and deliverables for the program.

    Position Responsibilities:

    • Support and execute all aspects of Systems Engineering throughout the full program lifecycle (concept definition, design, test, and production), using model-based systems engineering (MBSE) methods
    • Coordinate and support interdisciplinary, collaborative approaches to define/plan and lead the implementation of the program's systems engineering work scope (inclusive of data deliverables) aligned to program milestones
    • Partner with subject matter experts and technology experts in understanding technology development and integration into current state and future goals for increased functionality, performance, testability, verification, validation, and certification
    • Analyze, translate, define and decompose requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs; maintain technical baseline for product requirements/configuration
    • Support / Lead and assist with definition of high level functional and performance requirements and verification methods, subsequent analysis, decomposition, and derivation of requirements, allocation of those lower-level requirements to physical and functional architectural elements, and tracking them through design, verification, integration, and operational validation
    • Utilize Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as DOORS, Cameo, and mathematical modeling and simulation to develop system definitions/architectures and perform trade studies (includes integration with interfacing engineering disciplines model-based design toolsets)
    • Coordinate and assist with performance analysis to optimize the system architecture to solve complex system design problems
    • Coordinate and assist with test and validation to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements
    • Support / Lead and assist in performing systems analysis of the existing system architecture in conjunction with new technologies and concepts for improvements to be considered for future architectures
    • Lead the development of risk assessments and mitigation plans to comply with system requirements and customer capabilities
    • Lead and assist in developing, maintaining, and utilizing analysis tools of varied fidelity, including modeling and simulation tools to predict performance against evolving threats
    • Actively participate in mentoring program for systems engineers to learn cross functional skills in systems engineering
    • Depending on the program assigned, this position may require 100% work on-site (at one of the listed locations) or may allow some telecommuting.

    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

    This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. secret clearance Pre-Start is required.

    Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements are mandatory for this position.

    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science
    • 2+ years of relevant systems engineering experience

    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    • 5 or more years related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    • Experience with Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)
    • Experience in technical engineering leadership
    • Experience in applying engineering processes and principles
    • Experience modeling or simulating systems
    • Experience/domain knowledge of system architecture, requirements, interface definition, verification, and validation
    • Experience with product/systems development and integration
    • Experience with implementation and maintenance of systems engineering tools, schedules and metrics (i.e. DOORs, CAMEO, earned value management).
    • Technical system domain knowledge (e.g. air vehicle and/or weapons)
    • Current Department of Defense Security Clearance

    Typical Education/ Experience:

    Associate (Level 2)

    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    Mid-Level (Level 3)

    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

    Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

    Summary Pay Range Associate (Level 2): $81,600- $110,400

    Summary Pay Range Mid-Level (Level 3): $97,750- $132,250
