Under the direction and supervision of a radiologist/physician performs all procedures within the CT section of the Department of Radiology.

Observes all radiation safety guidelines and performs any other duties which assist in the provision of quality patient care according to the mission and values of the health center.

commits to the highest standard of quality care, joyful service, and teamwork) and in a manner that reflects the core values of Mercy Health which are: 20%Performs CT imaging examinations, intravenous contrast injections in accordance with hospital guidelines and ensures safety to the patient, public, and self. Prepares equipment and scanning area for patient procedures. Keeps areas stocked at all times and room clean. Technologist cleans equipment per departmental policy after each patient use.

10%Performs all clerical duties needed to assist in the patient care process and demonstrates proper documentation of all patient care.

10%Operates and maintains equipment used and records all maintenance in log books, performs quality control testing as required by department quality assurance plan/coordinator
10%Adheres to work schedule, and schedules PTO time off per departmental policy.

Will be available for rotating emergency call, while also possibly being asked to cover at other facilities within the Mercy Health Youngstown market.

Attends departmental staff meetings and in-services as required. Adheres to all - established Care TIME / HR policies.
May assist in the use of a variety of equipment and procedures not routinely employed. Assist others in the department, requests assistance when necessary and demonstrates a team approach to patient care. Assist in developing the skills of students, trainees, or residents.
Consistently delivers the best service experience utilizing the 5 Foot/10 Foot rule, Messages of Caring Out Loud, AIDET, I- care, and other Mercy Health customer experience tools and behaviors

Radiology/CT

Required:
ARRT(R) Registered, current BLS Certification, Ohio Department of Health License for Radiologic Technologist
Minimum Years and Type of Experience: 1 year of CT experience, 2 years of Radiology experience preferred
Has fairly detailed level of knowledge of a Radiology/CT modality
Gathers, organizes, verifies, and analyzes data in the completion of multi-step procedures. Operates complicated equipment
