Description

The Carlisle Campus Electrical Engineer will be responsible and provide support for the specification/design, implementation/installation, commissioning, startup, and close-out of small-to-large scale capital expenditure projects independently and/or in conjunction with Central Engineering resources.

This position will also provide engineering expertise to assist plant-level Maintenance, Production/Operations, EH&S, and management personnel in identifying and solving technical process issues.

Technical assistance will require understanding of plant power distribution systems and process/machinery control systems. A practical level of understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering principles are to be applied to assigned project work.

Essential DutiesCapital and Major Maintenance project management that includes scope development, funding requests, budget tracking, schedule tracking and project execution.

Coordinate day-to-day activities of contractors and plant maintenance personnel during project execution.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with existing process equipment and control systems.

Provide training and technical assistance to plant-level Maintenance, Production/Operations, EH&S, and management personnel to ensure all project goals are successfully attained.

Design using the latest hardware and software components, design machine control systems to maximize equipment productivity and assure all code requirements and safety standards are strictly met.

Travel, as needed, in support of projects:
planning, prospective equipment or system research, factory acceptance tests, etc.; and for other misc. job-related purposes such as trade shows, training, technical collaboration with other CCM operations.
