    Description

    Roles and Responsibilities:

    • Greets and assists guest at the food & beverage outlet.
    • Received payment from the guest for food and beverage purchases in an accurate, prompt, courteous manner.
    • Adheres to established cash handling and internal control policies and procedures.
    • Responds promptly to guests' questions and directs concerns to the appropriate manager.
    • Performance as a Team Member with kitchen staff and leadership.
    • Maintains a clean workspace.
    • Protects company assets against theft, breakage, and waste.

    Qualifications:

    • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Six months to One year of previous cashier experience preferred.
    • Literacy and fluency in Vietnamese or Chinese Language a plus.
    • Good communication skills
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with guests and employees.
    • Must be at least 21 years of age.
    • Comfortable working in a fast paced, dynamic environment.
    • Ability to work effectively in a team setting and independently.
    • Must adhere to uniform/appearance requirements.
    • Ability to appreciate and be friendly with all Harrah's Gulf Coast Team Members who are of various ethnic and cultural backgrounds.

    Physical, Mental & Environmental Demands:

    • Able to read, write and speak English sufficiently to perform job.
    • Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
    • Ability to preform these operations using units of American money.
    • Available to work any shift, holidays and weekends.
    • Ability to tolerate cigarette/cigar smoke and e-cigarette vapor.
    • Responds to visual and aural cues.
    • Ability to stand for 8 hours.
    • Ability to occasionally lift and move up to 25 pounds.
    • Must be able to stoop, reach and bend as necessary.
    • Must be able to respond calmly and make rational decisions when handling guest demands in a fast-paced environment.
    • Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondhand smoke, high noise levels, bright lights, and dust.
