The Weekend Shift Lead is responsible for operating overhead cranes, forklifts and semi-truck / trailer to move material around the yard in a safe and efficient manner. Learn proper rigging and loading techniques. Provide guidance on duties and assignments to all weekend shift employees.Primary Duties And Responsibilities include the following:
- Promote a strong quality culture throughout the company maintaining Cooper Steel’s core priorities: Safety, Quality, Production
- Load and unload delivery trucks using overhead cranes and forklifts
- Read and understand load list to calculate material size and length when loading
