    Description
    Vaco - Boston has partnered with our client, a manufacturing company looking to add a Senior Accountant to join their team.

    Responsibilities:
    • Support the General Ledger by processing and recording transactions
    • Coordinate with divisional business partners, corporate, technical accounting teams, and Internal Controls, assist with internal / external audit requests.
    • Provide proactive communication with key stakeholders and leadership.
    • Review monthly and quarterly financial statements, supplementals and reconciliations within the control framework.
    • Apply a strong understanding of Purchase/ M&A accounting and management of pass down entries.
    • Create journal entries and provide supporting documents. Prepare for GL Lead and Business Partner to review. Support other team members as required.
    • Reconcile all balance sheet accounts and resolve unreconciled variances in a timely manner.
    • Review and analyze financials for US GAAP Financials, complete all supplemental reporting for submission to controlling team utilizing the mapping between accounting tools.
    • Perform post-closing activities in both systems with process and control oriented as required.
    • Participate in regulatory audits, inspections, and local compliance activities.
    • Perform Sales & Use Tax reconciliation and filings with third parties.
    • Build relationships and collaborate with business partners and other finance functions in support of deadlines, deliverables, and overall requirements of the business.
    • Achieve personal and team goals in a timely and constructive manner.
    • Perform other duties as required.
    Qualifications:
    • Minimum five years of General Ledger work experience required.
    • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or finance is required.
    • Knowledge of US accounting and audit regulations with integrity in the application of standards.
    • Previous experience with M&A is preferred.
    • Advanced proficiency with QuickBooks, SAGE, SAP, MS Office Suite with an expert level Excel.
    • Strong business acumen, analysis, and reporting skills
    • Verbal, written, computer and interpersonal skills.
    • The ability to build and maintain business relationships with a customer focus
