    Selectek is looking for a Sourcing Engineer to direct team activities to meet global and local plant sourcing objectives and initiatives. The Sourcing Engineer will establish and sustain direct contact with the global, corporate, and global supply base team members.

    Required:
  • BA/BS in Engineering preferred; Business, or Supply Chain Management considered.
  • 10+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management in a manufacturing environment.
  • Mechanical background with specific knowledge pertaining to the procurement of complex castings, forgings, and various machined hydraulic type components.
  • Proficient in various Microsoft Office products such as Word, Excel, and Teams
  • Demonstrated experience in analysis, and problem solving (showing expertise in data analysis and management using MS Excel, PowerBI, etc).
  • Ability to build and work in complex relationships & situations
  • Understands, APQP, PPAP, and "Run at Rate" processes
  • Strong Knowledge of QS9000 & ISO9000 procedures & practices, certification a plus.
  • Experience working with Mexican entities, bilingual in Spanish a plus
  • Job Responsibilities:
  • Follow and implement the Corporate Purchasing Policy in accordance with the Industrial Charter. Develop & implement strategic vision and planning to maximize production supplier performance in all part families.
  • Provides information, analysis, and reporting to the DISG Group – Verberie, France.
  • Leads supplier RFQ process, conducting supplier analysis to ensure that competitive pricing, continuity of supply, risk mitigation, delivery, quality, and lead time is being achieved.
  • Interfaces with Sales, Engineering and Operations to develop prototyping and outside services supply base
  • Actively contributes and participates within a cross functional team environment in support of corporate/global and local/plant level, goals, & objectives.
  • Creates and Maintains Master Data files
  • Increase the efficiencies and timing of New Product Sourcing processes by collaborating with innovation / design / engineering teams,
  • Acquires and maintains understanding of product purchases, knowledge of the supply base and product cost.
  • Partners with internal teams throughout the Product Development stages to manage BOM cost for outsourced components and assemblies, with focus on Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
  • Identifies risks associated with the supply base and initiatives actions to properly address issues.
  • Forecasts price trends and their impact on current and future pricing.
  • Consistently displays a continuous improvement focus on reducing design time, development costs, and improving product quality with suppliers and key company stakeholders.
  • Performs Contract Reviews on Inquiries in partnership with company legal
  • Conducts should-cost and make vs. buy analyses to support sourcing decisions
  • Identifies, develops, interfaces with internal customers and leads implementation of VA/VE / cost avoidance / reduction opportunities to increase overall business unit profitability
  • Participates in project meetings to ensure key internal customer deliverables are being met (cost, lead time, etc.)
