    SUMMARY

    Responsible for serving food and beverage to members and guests in the pool and surrounding cabana areas according to Pinehurst standards in a timely manner.

    EDUCATION and


    EXPERIENCE:

    High school diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) and a minimum of 3 months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.


    ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    Responsible for complete and efficient setup, breakdown, and clean-up of the cabana dining areas including straightening all lounge chairs and chairs to diagram and setting out towels.

    Responsible for knowledge of menus and daily specials
    Responsible for providing quality bar, wine, and cocktail service within North Carolina ABC guidelines and in accordance with Pinehurst's standards and Pinehurst Resort's Alcoholic Beverage Service Policy
    Operate Info Genesis POS system with accuracy and efficiency.

    Responsible for maintaining cash banks (where applicable), ensuring complete and accurate client billing with legible documentation of all transactions to include totaling, accepting payment, and processing the payments.

    If Guest is staying in the hotel, request 'Guest resort id card.'
    Responsible for proper gathering, maintaining, return and storage of all F&B operational equipment and assisting with the security and loss prevention of equipment

    Maintain overall presentation of pool areas by ensuring that tables and chairs are clean and straight, floors, walls, and restrooms are clean; light bulbs are not burnt out and condiments are clean and full according to standards.

    Assist in the orientation and training of new Employees.
    Fold towels according to specified standards.
    Alert Supervisor immediately if a Guest has a suggestion, complaint, or issue.
    Participate in Employee meetings, training, and daily line ups
    Maintain Guest confidentiality.
    Observe diners to fulfill any additional requests and to perceive when meals have been completed.
    Assist Guest with food selection and information about food items.

    Participate and assist in controlling the loss and waste of food and beverage product and following F&B guidelines with regard to staff food and beverage consumption.

    Responsible for knowledge of Pinehurst's facilities and amenities to assist Guests with directions and questions.

    Responsible for communication with Stewarding every day at 2PM and 5PM for trash pickup and Laundry when running low on towels and when towel bins are 3/4 full.

    Fill out requisition immediately at night so cabana can be re stocked as opening duty.

    Because of the fluctuating demands of the Resort's operation, it may be necessary that each Employee perform a multitude of different functions; therefore, as an essential part of your job, you will be expected to help others when the occasion arises, just as other Employees are expected to help you.

    Accordingly, you may be expected to perform other tasks as needed or directed.

    Adhere to all of the various written mandatory standards of operations, policies and procedures, manuals, memos, oral instructions, etc., all of which go to make up the essential functions of the job.

    Responsible for providing food and beverage service at its finest in all aspects and modes of dining activity.
    Responsible for proper and efficient dining and banquet setup

    In this position you will be expected to be available to work in various locations of Food and Beverage outlets depending on business levels.

    In addition, you will be expected to work holidays wherever needed even if your primary outlet is closed.


    GATE RESPONSIBILITIES
    In this position you will be required to work pool gate shifts as needed.
    Ensure guests are properly checked in.
    Monitor proper member/guests pool usage and keep daily log
    Assist guests to lounge chairs and provide towel service
    Responsible for providing table service to one section
    Assist in arrangement of pool furniture and set up of umbrellas.
    Assist in cleanliness of pool lounge area. (pickup towels, trash, clean chairs, and any spills)
    Notify any pool hazards and problem areas to Beverage Manager and/or Pool Technician.
    Attend outlet staff meetings as scheduled

    The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

    Resort Pool opens in April and closes early October. It may open early or close early depending on weather conditions.

    Work hours will vary according to business levels and may be required to work weekends, holidays, and overtime.
