  • Position Summary:

    The Infrastructure Architect role is extremely dynamic as the responsibilities include not only creating and maintaining the technology roadmap as it relates to the network infrastructure but also tracking business related concerns and industry developments. With a strong business acumen and customer-facing skills, the IA will partner with business units to translate complex business problems into technically sound solutions. Acting as a cross-functional SME, the IA will also participate in complex problem resolution, project consultation, high-level design and mentoring of Network Engineers with the implementation of new technology. The IA will interface across IT domains such as Security and Systems to ensure continuity of ideas and solutions. This position is intended to facilitate our digital transformation, own the Infrastructure technology roadmap and provide a link to business needs and solution development as it relates to integration with the network infrastructure.

  • Work closely with IT leadership and technologists to understand business drivers and create the IT roadmap to support the enterprise digital transformation
  • Create and lead a quarterly Architecture Review Board composed of key IT contributors, leaders and business partners designed to review the current Infrastructure road map and ensure that it is on target with current and future business needs and drivers
  • Serve as a senior technology advisor to major projects, leading and collaborating with other members of the IT and the Network Engineering team in the development of technical designs
  • Fully understand lifecycle timelines and collaborate with management for budget forecasting, maintaining a 3-year advanced plan
  • Maintain availability for consulting on strategic projects
  • Create high-level designs for the purpose of project estimates and equipment purchases
  • Technical program oversight for Network Infrastructure
  • Develop and own short and long-term Cloud Strategy
  • Develop transition plans to move the infrastructure from current state to preferred state, maintaining security standards
  • Develop and execute communication plus education plan for infrastructure architecture.

  • Technical Skills Requirements:

  • Experience building enterprise architecture. Strong background in design, integration and management of complex infrastructure solutions
  • Deep experience with Cisco technologies including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless technology, ACI, VoIP, SD-WAN technologies, DNS, VLANs
  • Experience integrating Cisco Collaboration technologies (CUCM, CUCCX, WebEx) into enterprise environments
  • Experience designing and integrating cloud infrastructures with technologies such as Azure and AWS
  • Experience with load balancers, storage with SAN, NAS, large scale backup, archiving, flash, disaster recovery, replication
  • Hosting experience with virtualization, Windows, Linux, Public/Private Clouds, High Availability
  • Business Systems experience with enterprise email, voice solutions, collaboration, productivity tools
  • Security experience with encryption, authentication/authorization, firewalls/DMZ, IdM/directory services
  • Education / Training:

    Bachelor's degree with relevant coursework in computer science, programming, information systems, or a related field and 7+ years of experience in an information technology position with a minimum of 5 years in a in a senior or lead role on a technical team or a combination of experience, education, training and experience. Healthcare experience a must. CCIE in any discipline is highly desired.
