Summary

Bascom Hunter Technologies Inc. is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to support the BH Tech division. Were looking for experienced candidates with a technical background and domain expertise.

Bascom Hunter provides solutions to the Department of Defense (DoD) and Aerospace markets across various disciplines. Our BH Tech division currently provides products and services across four product lines: RF Systems, RF Components, Neuromorphic Processors and Photonics.

Compensation will be commensurate with experience.

Job Duties

1. Support the design and development of RF systems for SATCOM and other communication and radar systems
2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including hardware engineers, software engineers, and program managers to ensure seamless integration of RF systems into overall product designs.
3. Conduct thorough analysis, simulation, and testing of RF circuits and systems to ensure compliance with performance specifications and standards.
4. Develop and implement RF system architectures, including selection of components, RF circuit design, and signal processing algorithms.
5. Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior engineers and contribute to their professional development.
6. Participate in product design reviews, providing input and recommendations to enhance product performance and reliability.
7. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in RF engineering and system integration, and incorporate relevant advancements into our product designs.
8. Support manufacturing of RF Systems including creation of test procedures, technical guidance on system integration and test and ensuring product quality.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Master's degree preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in circuit design, system integration, or electronic design.
• A United States Citizen, able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Department of Defense Security Clearance.
• Experience with system-level integration of RF components into complex electronic systems.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex RF systems.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and present technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
• Experience with MIL-STDs
• Willing and able to support other disciplines outside your discipline of expertise
• Results oriented with drive (self-starter)
• Ability to manage multiple and competing priorities
• [Preferred] Solid understanding of PCB layout and design considerations for RF circuits.
• [Preferred] Understanding of RF principles and technologies including modulation techniques, antennas, filters, amplifiers, and transmission lines.
