The Associate Clinician provides counseling and support services to individuals, couples, or families under the supervision of a licensed counselor while adhering to ethical standards and state regulations.

    • Provide ongoing case management to monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
    Clinical Supervision:
    • Participate in regular clinical supervision sessions with a licensed supervisor to review cases, receive guidance, and enhance clinical skills.
    • Maintain accurate records of supervision sessions and progress toward licensure requirements.
    Assessment and Evaluation:
    • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify clients' mental health needs and develop appropriate treatment plans.
    • Collaborate with supervising licensed counselors on diagnostic evaluations when necessary.
    • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team, including psychologists, to provide comprehensive care.

    • Stay informed about changes in counseling laws and regulations.
    Documentation and Reporting:
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, progress notes, and treatment plans.
    • Prepare reports and documentation as required for licensure and regulatory compliance.
    Client Education:

Our diverse team brings together a wealth of experience and expertise. By working collaboratively, we tap into this collective knowledge, allowing us to provide clients with a wide range of therapeutic approaches and perspectives.

Teamwork promotes continuous learning and professional growth. Our counseling office fosters an environment where team members can exchange ideas, attend training sessions together, and learn from one another's experiences. This not only enhances individual skills but also keeps us updated on the latest developments in the field.

Treatment Team Meetings: Team meetings are a cornerstone of our collaborative approach. Team members are expected to actively engage in these meetings, sharing case updates, insights, and feedback. This ensures that the entire team is aligned on client progress and can adjust treatment plans as necessary.

Clinical Supervision: Regular clinical supervision sessions provide an opportunity for team members to receive guidance and mentorship. It's a space to discuss challenging cases, seek advice, and refine therapeutic techniques collaboratively.

Group Therapy Facilitation: Facilitating one monthly group therapy session allows team members to share their expertise and contribute to our group therapy program, which plays a vital role in our service offerings.

Flexible Scheduling: Our team recognizes the importance of meeting clients' needs at times convenient for them, which may extend beyond traditional business hours and may involve evening or weekend hours to accommodate client schedules.

Facility Maintenance: All team members share office duties to include light cleaning in order to maintain a trauma informed and comforting environment.

    Community Engagement:
    • Our commitment to the community extends beyond counseling sessions. Team members are expected to represent the practice at community events and initiatives by participating in at least one community event per month, building connections with local resources, and recruiting potential clients.
    • Metanoia Counseling hosts several events throughout the year as part of our commitment to promoting holistic wellness and mental health in the community. Team members are expected to actively participate in planning and facilitating these events, which may include workshops, seminars, wellness fairs, or other community outreach and fundraising activities.
    Professional Development:

    • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
    • Empathy, cultural competence, and a commitment to client well-being.
    • Knowledge of counseling theories and techniques.
    • Adherence to ethical and legal standards in counseling practice.
