Product Manager, Geographic Expansion - Portland, United States - ForeFlight
Description
ForeFlight is looking for a Product Manager to join their Geographic Expansion team.This individual will research, plan, organize, and manage the day-to-day of an assigned product line from concept through product life cycles in order to optimize profit and meet marketing, financial, and growth objectives.
The ideal candidate should be an active ForeFlight user and have experience working with and understanding the International aviation industry.
Job DutiesResearches and creates product requirements and develop appropriate programs to ensure they're successfully achieve
Leads the project through discovery, execution and support
Identifies market potential, establishes pricing and market strategies and estimates potential sales
Conducts research and develops a solid understanding of the customer's needs, new technologies, trends in the market, and competitors in the global market across multiple market segments
Participates in overall product strategy, research and development requirements, development, and manufacturing coordination for new and emerging products
Collaborates with various functional areas such as sales, support, QA, engineering, and marketing to develop and provide product definitions responsive to customer needs and market opportunities
Partners with Marketing, Sales, and Support to prepare marketing strategies and deliverables that reflect the brand and product identity with different international markets in mind
Develops metrics used to conduct an ongoing analysis of the effectiveness and value of the product/project
Surfaces new and innovative ideas for product improvements
Job Requirements
Minimum of 3 years Product Management
Experience in International aviation either as a pilot, dispatcher, flight planner or managing a product for one of those fields is required.
Bachelor's degree requiredExcellent organizational and product management skills are required, preferably with previous software product management experience.
Strong analytical skills and ability to use data to drive decision making.
Excellent listening skills, including the ability to identify and isolate customers concerns or objections with a customer
Excellent written and oral skills with the ability to effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Occasional travel required
Helpful Areas Of Expertise
General, Business, and/or Military Aviation industry knowledge
Knowledge of International aviation regulatory requirements, aeronautical data, and industry standards
