- 6 years of experience directly related to Linux System Administration, including installation and maintenance of software and hardware
- Experience administering Red Hat Enterprise Linux server (RHEL 6 & 7) based systems with minimal support, to include patching, creating RPM packages, performance tuning, networking, user management, and security
- Experience with BASH scripting
- Experienced using Jira, Ansible, and Red Hat IPA Server
- In-depth experience with the deployment and administration of systems in Amazon Web Services (AWS)/Commercial Cloud Services (C2S)
- Experience using Agile/Scrum development methodology (SAFe, Scrum, Khanban)
- Must be able to support occasional after hour maintenance
- Must have an active CompTIA Security+ or equivalent IA Level II Certification or higher
- Experience with configuration and maintenance of a Kubernetes or similar containerized environment
- AWS Cloud Practitioner Certification
- Experience administering Amazon Linux servers (Amazon Linux 1 and 2)
- Experience with operating system, security, and application logging technologies
- Proficiency with Enterprise level administration of common services such as DNS, sendmail, and LDAP
- Strong analytic and research skills - must be detail oriented
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and troubleshoot problems with efficiency
- Requires the ability to effectively interact with external personnel on significant technical matters often requiring coordination between organizations and vendors
- Communication and diplomatic skills
- Experience with the configuration and maintenance of host base security tools such as McAfee
- Experience troubleshooting Splunk performance issues / Opening support cases with Splunk
- Experience monitoring the Splunk infrastructure for capacity planning and optimization
- The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Splunk architecture, configuration, and management.
