Company DescriptionCollege Bound AZ is dedicated to fostering equity through education by empowering underrepresented students with scholarships, mentoring, and academic advising to facilitate their success in college.
Each year, the organization supports approximately 300 high school seniors, the majority of whom are First-Generation college students.College Bound AZ is committed to creating opportunities and building pathways to higher education for students who may face unique challenges.
Role DescriptionThis is an on-site, full-time role based in Mesa, AZ, for the position of Executive Director. The Executive Director will oversee organizational operations, develop strategic plans, and ensure the execution of the organization's mission.
Key responsibilities include managing staff, building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders and donors, overseeing fundraising initiatives, ensuring financial sustainability, and adhering to organizational policies.
The chosen candidate will drive program development and create a supportive environment for the success of College Bound AZ's mission.
QualificationsLeadership and management skills, including team leadership, strategic planning, and stakeholder engagement.
Fundraising and nonprofit development expertise, including grant writing, resource allocation, and donor relationship management.
Strong organizational, project management, and problem-solving skills to ensure efficient operations and program success.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including public speaking and report writing for diverse audiences.
Proficiency in building partnerships with community organizations, donors, and educational institutions.
Bachelor's degree in Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, Education, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Experience in education or in a nonprofit sector serving underrepresented communities is highly desirable.
A passion for education equity and supporting First-Generation students in achieving academic success.
