Job Description:

CGI Federal is seeking a DevOps Engineer Subject Matter Expert (SME) with a focus on security to contribute to DevOps security initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess extensive experience in infrastructure, network security, secure coding, compliance, and policy implementation. This role involves collaborating with an agile team, Solution Architect, and AWS Architecture team to enhance security practices.

Key Responsibilities:

Implementing various Continuous Deployment scenarios using AWS technologies
Providing detailed specifications for proposed solutions
Automating platform deployments across development, test, and production environments
Supporting CI/CD and automation projects utilizing technologies like Ansible, Terraform, Bamboo, and Jenkins
Designing and constructing code pipelines for Cloud applications and infrastructure automation
Integrating security code testing and other security measures in the development process
Utilizing AWS native DevOps tools for application and infrastructure automation
Implementing monitoring and logging tools for Cloud applications and infrastructure
Troubleshooting deployment issues in the Production environment
Conducting performance and security monitoring
Applying updates, fixes, and patches as needed
Providing technical support and root cause analysis for production errors
Developing scripts/tools to automate tasks

Qualifications:

US citizenship and successful completion of CGI background check are mandatory
Bachelor's degree with 8 years of related experience or Master's degree with 6 years of experience
Proficiency in managing infrastructure and applications in cloud environments, preferably AWS
Hands-on experience with automation for CI/CD processes
Skills in scripting using Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, Bash, and Python
Familiarity with open technologies and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools
Working knowledge of XML, JSON, and YAML for configuration

Desired Qualifications:

Experience in Agile environments
Knowledge of federal cybersecurity standards like NIST SP 800-37
