TheDirector, Clinical Services
to lead the clinical operations and team including but not limited to medical assistants, pharmacy, lab, and nursing. This unique opportunity puts you at the forefront of creating a thriving practice dedicated to delivering exceptional cancer care.
You will collaborate closely with experienced providers and clinical teams, leverage the expertise of our extensive OneOncology network, and play a pivotal role in shaping the practice's culture, success, and impact on the lives of thousands of cancer patients.
As the boots on the ground leader and early practice hire, you will collaborate with the OneOncology corporate team to build this practice from the ground up.
This position reports to the Executive Director of Lowcountry Oncology Associates.Responsibilities
Supervises all clinic leads and managers, setting the direction for their respective clinics and areas of responsibility to align with overall Lowcountry Oncology Associates goals.
Ensures a high-performance team, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and fostering a positive work culture that promotes retention of all staff.
Supports and communicates the practice's strategic goals and priorities to staff.Responsible for overseeing staffing, scheduling, and flow of the clinic to ensure a safe environment in which to provide high-quality patient care.
Collaborates with other clinical leaders to ensure high-quality patient care and standards of clinical practice are implemented across all clinical areas.
Works in partnership with Executive Director and physician leadership to facilitate effective working relationships between all practice staff.Establishes and enforces accountability systems and controls for clinic operations according to standards and benchmarks set by the organization, licensing boards, etc.
Utilizes data and best practice research to evaluate existing and recommended new workflows, vendors, policies, and training based on trends and benchmarks.
Works closely with practice teams and OneOncology teams to develop and implement clinical pathways and protocols integrating evidence-based care that fosters the delivery of high-quality care.
Supports all implementation of new and ongoing activities including but not limited to EMR implementation, organizational chart development, patient medical record readiness, supplies, vendor agreements, and policy and procedure creation.
Enhances operational effectiveness, emphasizing cost containment, high-quality patient care and patient / employee satisfaction.Maintains responsibility for compliance with federal, state, and local legislation and regulatory/accrediting agencies.
Assesses patient feedback and identifies areas for targeted improvement.
Functions as a liaison for clinical quality across the organization, including with professional clinical staff and other staff involved in clinic operations.
Complies with practice and OneOncology policies and procedures.Additional responsibilities may be assigned to help drive our mission of delivering high-quality and compassionate cancer care in our community, for our community, and by oncologists who live in our community.
QualificationsBachelor's Degree required, master's degree in nursing or related clinical field, Business, or Health Administration preferred.
An active South Carolina license, in good standing, as a Registered Nurse preferred.
5-7 years of experience of progressive healthcare leadership in the outpatient or hospital setting.
Oncology experience preferred.
Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of time, with occasional walking
Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
Able to travel to multiple clinics when necessary
Must be able to lift 40 lbs.
