    POSITION SUMMARY:
    Under the administrative supervision of the Program/Center Manager, the clinical direction of a Center RN, and the clinical supervision of the associate nurse manager, the Licensed Vocational Nurse provides direct nursing services to participants

    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    1. Processes, communicates and implements all medication orders.2. Administers and distributes all medications as prescribed by medical staff.3. Provides nursing care and treatments for participants at the Day Health Center.4. Maintain clinic supplies5. Participates actively in the interdisciplinary team by offering clinical expertise in team planning, problem solving, and processes.6.

    Teaches, supervises, and counsels the participant, geriatric aides, and family members regarding nursing careneeds and other related problems of the participant.7.

    Other related duties as assigned.
    QUALIFICATIONS (knowledge, skills, abilities):1. Graduate of an accredited LVN program.2. Possess a current California LVN license.3. Interest, demonstrated ability and one-year experience working with the elderly or frail population required.4. Ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary team.5. Bilingual ability may be required for specific assignments.
