A. PATIENT CAREPerformance Criteria:
a. Reviews the patient's medical record for patient history, test results and other pertinent information.
b. Utilizes methods of inspection, auscultation, percussion and/ or palpation to determine respiratory care
needs.
c. Provides appropriate interventions based on the assessment findings.
d. Communicates significant findings, actions taken and care recommendations with the treatment team in
a timely fashion.
e. Documents assessment findings and any actions taken in the patient's medical record.

Performance Criteria:
a. Verifies there is an active MD order for the therapy or procedure as required
b. Obtains the appropriate equipment and devices to render care with consideration given to patient care
