- Analyze user requirements to determine software design and performance criteria.
- Debug existing software and resolve any issues.
- Offer suggestions for enhancing documentation and software development standards.
- Design and implement new software features or modify existing ones.
- Integrate current software into new or updated systems or environments.
- Create basic data queries for existing or proposed databases.
- Write and review software and system documentation.
- Act as a team leader based on the software development process used for a particular project.
- Design or implement complex database interfaces/queries.
- Develop or implement algorithms to meet system performance standards.
- Assist with creating and executing test procedures for software components.
- Develop software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, consulting with users and system engineers, analyzing system flow, data usage, and examining problematic areas.
- Adjust existing software to fix errors, adapt to new hardware, or enhance performance.
- Design, develop, and modify software systems using scientific and mathematical models to predict and assess design outcomes.
- Design or implement intricate algorithms while adhering to strict constraints; ensure quality control for team products.
- Implement suggestions to enhance documentation and software development standards.
- Supervise one or more software development teams to ensure adherence to software development constraints for each project.
- Consult with system and hardware engineers to determine software requirements, project limitations, performance needs, and interfaces.
- Coordinate software installation and monitor equipment functionality to meet operational specifications.
- Recommend new technologies and processes for complex software projects.
- Act as the technical lead for multiple software development teams.
- Select the software development process in alignment with customer and system engineering requirements.
- Ensure quality control for all developed and modified software.
- Assign programming and testing tasks to teams and supervise their performance.
- Active TS/SCI with Poly clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field required. Four (4) additional years of relevant SWE experience may substitute for the degree.
- Minimum of twenty (20) years of SWE experience in similar programs and contracts.
- Experience in an agile software environment
- Familiarity with SDLC model.
- Proficiency in integrating corporate authentication services into secure full-stack solutions.
- Experience handling large datasets in a user interface.
- Proven track record of delivering full-stack solutions with large datasets.
- Expertise in developing a micro-services framework for supporting multiple customer products.
- Experience in developing code that uses reference databases to provide and cache results for other systems.
- Knowledge of Docker/Rancher, Kubernetes, K&S, Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab, and ideally commercial cloud services like AWS.
- Familiarity with scripting in Python, Jira, Confluence, and proficiency in Java, JavaScript, and working knowledge of Angular and Oracle/MySQL backend.
- Experience with NoSQL databases is a plus.
