- Ensure that applications align with business needs and objectives, meet user expectations, and troubleshoot system issues.
- Assess the effectiveness and efficiency of current applications, and develop strategies to enhance or utilize these systems.
- Promote and share best practices for application use.
- Assess new applications, software systems, products, or enhancements for existing applications company-wide.
- Collaborate with users, engineers, and system owners to test new software and applications.
- Review documentation and technical requirements of new applications to understand their intended purpose.
- Ensure seamless integration of new software into company systems, meeting functional needs and compliance requirements.
- Participate in feasibility assessments for software and system products and offer recommendations.
- Contribute to identifying potential issues in development proposals and provide appropriate suggestions.
- Engage with software suppliers to address any issues promptly.
- Develop and maintain a strategic plan for global business-critical applications.
- Lead and guide the application team to support day-to-day operations.
- Maintain records of company software and related contracts/agreements.
- Create training materials for end users, conduct training sessions as needed, and oversee user-related activities.
- Organize user reviews for new or updated systems and applications.
- B.S. or B.A. degree in Business Administration, Management, Project Management, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum five years of experience in a Microsoft-centric tech environment, with at least 4 years in project management.
- Experience leading a full enterprise ERP upgrade.
- Skilled in designing, implementing, and managing application environments.
- Proficient in MS Project or equivalent software, and MS Office applications.
- Demonstrated experience in leading cross-functional project teams.
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively and meet deadlines.
- Strong staff management and communication skills.
- Proficient in negotiating, including conflict resolution.
- Experience collaborating with diverse stakeholders and technology teams.
- Capable of working independently and driving projects forward.
- Self-motivated with proven project estimation skills.
- Strong leadership abilities.
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics/AX for ERP support and implementations.
- Background in process improvement initiatives.
- PMP certification.
- Knowledge of SQL.
- Sense of urgency and commitment to deliver results.
- Ability to make independent decisions with sound judgment.
- Strong analytical, mathematical, and creative problem-solving skills.
