- Interact with and support Engineering, Tooling and Production functions toward definition and control of manufacturing processes and outputs.
- Manage customer PPAP and First Article schedules, submissions, responses and follow-up activities.
- Implement and manage all new and existing parts' Quality processes (FMEA, Control Plans and Process Flow Diagrams).
- Interact with Customers, Suppliers, Engineering and Production personnel to manage activities and responses to quality concerns and improvement initiatives.
- Acts as the facility's Management Representative for ISO / IATF 16949 surveillance audits and continued certification.
- Refine, improve & implement quality programs and procedures in accordance with ISO / IATF 16949 and Customer specific requirements.
- Manage / responsible for all Quality functions, personnel, processes, activities, training, calibration, performance goals and improvement plans.
- Develop, train and coordinate Quality Assurance personnel in metrology and problem solving.
- Coordinate and manage the facility's internal audit processes & program. Participate in layered process auditing, trend analysis and action plans.
- Develop, track and document continuous improvement methods and progress.
- Coordinate and manage the facility's corrective and preventive actions and impacts, documenting and controlling implementation status & effectiveness.
- Present quality "dashboards" in a monthly Quality Operating System (QOS) format.
- Present annual Management Review agenda and supporting data.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing or Quality Assurance disciplines.
- MINIMUM of 10 years of progressive Quality Assurance experience with a MINIMUM of 5 years Quality Management experience. ASQ Certification is desired. A record of success in the fast-paced, automotive, contract manufacturing (stamping) and production environments is required.
- Thorough knowledge of ISO / IATF 16949 requirements and interpretations; including administration and maintenance of the Quality Management System is required.
- CMM capable with EXPERT metrology and GD&T understanding and skills. Intermediate statistical knowledge is required.
- The candidate must possess strong problem solving, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, along with a high level of energy, motivation, maturity, commitment, and integrity. This is NOT a desk-only position. The position requires the "rolling up of the sleeves" attitude and extensive HANDS ON involvement in engineering, tooling and manufacturing practices.
